Compact SMT Type Automotive Connector
"MX34R Series" Has Been Developed


MX34R series connector

 

 

The mainstream mounting style for automotive control units has been the through-hole type. Now there are increasing needs for an SMT (Surface Mount Technology) type due to the minimized mounting space, reduced flow soldering, and scale-downs of the unit assembly process.

To meet these demands JAE has developed this straight type SMT connector as an addition to the proven compact automotive MX34 Series connectors.

 

 

:: Features

 
1 Straight SMT type pin-header with double row staggered 2.2 mm side pitch.

Fixed to board by hold-downs on both sides, screw mounting is not necessary.

Adopts heat resistant PPS resin and is compatible with soldering by reflow mounting.

Soldering area of terminal appears on both sides of the connector for balanced soldering intensity and easier confirmation of soldering.

Larger and increased numbers of mating keys setup to, prevent mis-mating with the socket connector and enhance strength against twisting.
6 With a shape that has a consideration for pick-and-place by automated mounting.

Mechanical lock structure with a click response when mated, resistant to vibration and tension.
