"FI-XP Series" Board-to-Cable Connector
for Next Generation High-Speed Differential Transmission (Display Port) Has Been Developed

FI-XP series connector

JAE has developed the FI-XP Series of compact and low-profile board-to-cable connectors that are compatible with Display Port transmission in LCD panel interfaces.

The mated height of the board side receptacle is a low-profile 1.0mm, which makes it ideally suited for the thin LCDs used in notebook PCs.

:: Features

  • Standard connector for Display Port t ransmission, adopted by VESA for the next generation interface for LCD.
  • Plug height is 1.55mm and is suitable for thin LCDs in notebook PCs. Mated height of board receptacle is a low-profile 1.0mm (standard bottom mount type).
  • Enhanced strength (increased to 150% of current product) with improved metal shell and insulator, while still compatible with FI-XP. Robust against rough handling of cable.
  • Board foot print is same as current FI-X connector.
  • Solder migration prevention with Ni barrier on signal contact.
  • Compatible with cable plug of current FI-X connectors. (4 types: Soldered fine-wire coaxial cable, soldered FPC, crimped discrete wire, and integrated FFC cable types.)
  • Mechanical lock to resist vibration and shock.
