0.2mm Pitch FPC Connector FG2 Series Has Been Developed

Recently, the multi-functionality of mobile phones has advanced with the inclusion of high definition cameras, one-segment, GPS functions, etc., and also by the expansion of devices such as smartphones which incorporate a computer like function.
In addition, there is a demand for slimmer devices. So for the connectors used in those devices, slimmer and more space-saving products are required.
To meet this need JAE has developed an FPC connector with the industries narrowest contact pitch, 0.2mm. By realizing this narrow pitch, the mounting space for the connector has been minimized which will contribute to more design freedom for customers.

- LIF (Low Insertion Force) structure, which prevents mis-alignment by temporarily holding the FPC in place during mating.
- Space-saving type with 1.2mm height, 3.5mm depth (when placed on board), and 0.2mm pitch.
- User-friendly rotating front flip method actuator structure. (Note *, **)
- Compatibility with standard FPC thickness 0.2mm ± 0.03mm contributes to cost-savings for customers.
- Bottom of connector is covered by plastic so board pattern traces are possible.
- RoHS compliant product.
Note *) Front flip method: Method that fixes the FPC by rotating the actuator in the FPC insertion direction.
Note **) Actuator: Movable part to fix and hold FPC.
